Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Submission of a manuscript to RCFBA journal implies that all authors have read and agreed to its content and that the manuscript conforms to the journal's policies, available at https://rcfba.fcfar.unesp.br/index.php/ojs/author_guidelines
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • In COMMENTS FOR THE EDITOR I shall indicate three potential reviewers for my work, to be used by the Editors at their discretion. I shall provide in this order: SURNAME, FIRST NAME. EMAIL, AFFILIATION, REVIEWING INTERESTS_1, REVIEWING INTERESTS_2, REVIEWING INTERESTS_3.     This document serves both as a checklist and metadata collection form. Authors need to enter the requested information as shown for each field labeled as "Filled by: Author".

    This document must be read, understood, and signed by all authors.

Research Article

Research articles describe experimental or observational investigations that used formal methods for data collection and presentation of results.

Systematic Review

Systematic Reviews and Systematic Scoping Reviews of quantitative or qualitative evidence: Systematic reviews in accordance with the methodological guidelines.

Narrative Review

Narrative Reviews (invited only): Non-systematic review or state-of-the-art summary article. Authors interested should write to the editors prior to submitting.

Short Communication

Short Communications are Research Articles but with fewer words, tables, and figures, usually used to publish preliminary results and/or hypotheses.

Letter to the Editor

Letters to the Editor (invited only): Letter to a publication, typically commenting upon a published work. Authors interested should write to the editors prior to submitting.


Editorial (invited only): Opinion piece, policy statement, or general commentary, typically written by staff of the publication. Authors interested should write to the editors prior to submitting.
